Features & Benefits
Dyna-VT
Putting the MF 7400 Series ahead of the crowd
Dyna-VT Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is a standard feature on all MF 7400 Series models.
The beauty of this transmission is that it gives infinitely variable speed control (from 0–50* kph) with optimum power, engine speed and fuel efficiency, resulting in significant gains in output and productivity. And with the familiar ‘MF family’ control layout, operation is straightforward and intuitive.
To operate, simply push the armrest-mounted Dyna-VT lever forward or pull it backwards to increase or decrease your speed. No shifting of gears. No jerks. No breaks in traction or power: just infinite speed control from ‘supercreep’ to high transport speeds!
Left-Hand Power Control
A unique feature to Massey Ferguson, the left-hand Power Control lever allows the operator to change speed in both directions and also gives convenient, left-hand control of forward /reverse shuttles.
Choice of operating modes
Dyna-VT’s unique left-hand Power Control lever provides smooth forward and reverse shuttling and also changes the speed in both directions by simply pulling a lever.
Supervisor
The ‘Supervisor’ optimises the relationship between engine load and travel speed, maximising productivity in all conditions.
Dynamic Tractor Management (DTM)
An electronic management system, which when activated automatically controls the engine speed according to the load, to maximise fuel efficiency. It is available on the new MF 7497 and MF 7499 models and can be used in either pedal or lever mode.
The combination of Dyna-VT with DTM ensures maximum productivity while minimising fuel consumption and noise level.
Datatronic III
Information, control and easy operation
Massey Ferguson’s industry-leading information, control and cost management system is optional on all MF 7400 models, and is operated via the full-colour GTA Console. GTA100 Communicator software for operating data management and analysis is standard with the GTA Console.
Datatronic III enables automated equipment operation, gathers and records information, and is compatible with ISOBUS, the standard operating system for the agricultural world. Implement manufacturers’ software can be displayed and controlled on the GTA screen, so there is no requirement for an additional terminal.
Offering simple operation from a straightforward main menu, Datatronic III includes an advanced field and headland management tool with manual or automatic programming at the touch of a button.
Valuable operating data can be transferred to the office computer via an SD card where GTA100 Communicator software can be used for managing records, analysing field and tractor data and exporting data to other farm management programs.
GTA100 Communicator provides a user-friendly programme to produce a range of job records which help manage farm operations more efficiently and aid the traceability of farm activities.
Available as an option, GTA200 Record Keeping software enables users to create reports on specific business areas such as fleet management, equipment usage and field planning.
Add a GPS signal to Datatronic 3 and the location of the recorded along with the tractor data. GTA300 (available as an upgrade option) then allows the user to create maps of areas worked plus analysis of tractor performance and field conditions for improved management decisions.
Engine
Ultra-efficient and powerful, with plenty of torque
All models are fitted with the latest generation Tier III Perkins or AGCO SISU POWER engines with common rail fuel injection and six cylinders. Extra power is available at 2000 revs thereby ensuring excellent PTO performance and reducing engine noise.
The common rail injection system uses an Electronic Control Unit to regulate and optimise the injection pressure to match every individual operating condition and load.
Engine Speed Management system – enables two engine speeds to be pre-set and memorised for more convenient operation.
The cooling package on new engines has been completely redesigned to provide greater surface area for better cooling capacity and easier maintenance, featuring new pivoting radiators for even better access.
QuadLink
Improved comfort, safety and speed
Optional QuadLink is simple and compact, providing increased driver comfort, as well as safety on the road and in the field.
Regardless of front axle load, oscillation or turning angle, the electronic control mechanism automatically maintains a constant suspension height.
QuadLink virtually eliminates fore and aft ‘pitching’ that can build up when travelling at speed, enabling faster transport. In field work, QuadLink reduces shock loads on both tractor and driver, leading to increased comfort for the operator and less component stress and wear for the machine.
With wheels maintaining full contact with the ground for more of the time, front wheel traction is boosted by up to 20% and steering is safer and more positive.
Hydraulics, Linkage & PTO
Be sure to get optimum performance, power and precision
Closed Centre Load Sensing systems with oil flow up to 110 l/min (150 l/min on the MF 7485, 7490 and 7495) enables precise matching of hydraulic power requirements.
Electronic linkage control is as standard, for more accuracy, ease-of-use and reliability when employing implements, and there is a choice of mechanical or up to four electro-hydraulic spool valves.
External spool valve couplers enable equipment to be connected and disconnected under pressure, for better implement hook-up, and there is a choice of electronically controlled PTO options – 540/750/1000 rpm.
Integrated Tractor Control System
Manage your machine the easy way
Optional ITCS offers industry-leading field monitoring and tractor management, boosting output, improving operation and increasing efficiency.
The system’s digital display is mounted to the left of the dashboard and allows operators to manage wheelslip, spool valves and hydraulic flow, prioritising between the linkage and external valves. It also monitors fuel usage and provides basic headland management.
Simple, intuitive operation of the unit uses a touch-sensitive panel which is mounted to the right of the instrument console. Here the operator can scroll through menus and select settings shown on the display to the left of the dash.
Electronic Headland and Field Management systems
A range of electronic driving aids - many fitted as standard – ensures easy operation, high quality and high productivity.
This range includes Rear Dual Control for automated control of semi-mounted ploughs; Trailed Implement Control for maximum output with trailed equipment; Spool Valve Management System for precise control of external
* And for total peace of mind and known cost of ownership, Massey Ferguson’s manager service and repair contract is available.
